Wedding Photography And Me.
I am a Vancouver wedding photographer and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and talk to you about my passion for photography. What I write here will give you an insight into my love for life and my intensity for bringing out the best in people through work. I have my grandfather to thank for my passion as he was both an artist and a photographer. As a young boy we spent many hours together; him teaching me to draw and look at and for things that most people wouldn’t necessarily see. It wasn’t long before I realized that photography was my calling. Grandfather gave me my first SLR camera; a Flexaret, which I still own. I inherited his wealth of knowledge while working along side of him in his studio photographing his paintings and then in the darkroom developing the film and the pictures.
Since graduating college, I worked in sales to support both myself and my photographic passion. At first, photography was my hobby. I would spend every spare minute studying portraiture, landscape, cityscape, macro, and street photography. Many evenings and weekends were spent travelling and in countless types of weather in an effort to improve my skills. Then one day, I got my first part-time job as a Vancouver wedding photographer. It was a moment that would change my life forever. I felt that I now had a purpose and that all the time and effort my grandfather spent teaching me his craft was finally going to reward us both.
My main strength as a person is my love, understanding and compassion for life which gives me the ability to bring out the best in any situation. Over the years I have developed my own style based on light, mood and story. Each and every image I create is often simple, yet a complex blend of soul, imagination and technical skill.
I am committed to excellence in whatever I do. Wedding photography in Vancouver is the job I love.
